Am 14. November haben wir wieder zwei großartige Bands in unserem Keller. Kommt vorbei und bringt eure Friends mit.

Slack Bird verbindet die besten Seiten des tiefen Südens und des kalten Nordens, indem sie das klassische Banjospiel der Appalachen mit den dunklen Melodien der traditionellen finnischen Musik verbinden. Slack Bird stammt aus Mittelfinnland und hat die ganze Welt bereist, von den Clubs in New York bis hin zu Lehmhütten in deutschen Wäldern und allem, was dazwischen liegt. Neben drei Alben, einer Reihe von Singles hat die Band auch ein paar EPs veröffentlicht. Dabei wurde in verschiedenen Besetzungen gespielt, von der Ein-Mann-Banjo-Band bis hin zur Big Band mit Bläsern und Streichern. Dieses Mal tourt Slack Bird als 6-köpfige Folkband durch Europa.

Ähliz Angst spielt Queerfeministische Liedermacher*innenmärchen für Ratten und Solche, die’s werden wollen.

Slack Bird combines the best sides of the deep south and the cold north putting together classic Appalachian banjo playing and the dark melodies of drony Finnish traditional music. Hailing from Central Finland, Slack Bird has toured around the world from the clubs of New York to mud huts in German forests and everything in between. Slack Bird has released three full length albums, a bunch of singles, and a couple of EPs. Playing shows with various Slack Bird incarnations from one man banjo act to a full blown big band with horn and string sections this time Slack Bird is touring Europe as a 6 piece folk band.
Ähliz Angst plays queerfeminist singer-songwriter tales for rats and those who want to become rats.
